Logistical nightmares ... 

Any project has logistic issues, some straight forward others more difficult. There is a tendency to dismiss the more difficult with a ‘it is within our capability’ statement.

However, consider this?:

l       Restricted access, on a red route, major traffic

l      Restricted lift capacity, poorly maintained for both men and materials

l      Client IT decide they need a lift full time

l     Client occupancy inflicts on the limited access regime

l     C&E testing brings to a standstill

l     Always consider external additions solely for construction use

Consolidation Centre use may pay.

l      No one knows how much standing time of labour and logistics gang cost or the delays caused to programme

l     How much time is lost forever moving excess product on the floor

l     The client must be advised of these matters, if not it will cost both parties money, causing extra cost to the client and loss of profit to the contractors

l     Insufficient logistic labour is a false economy, causing logistic delays, standing time, programme delays, consider some of the logistical nightmares
