Difficult and sensitive discussions required with other developers associated with the Guinness portfolio and Scotrail. The project included external repairs to stonework perimeter of classical and detailed proportions bounded on all sides by road or rail track over Waverley Station. Internally major demolition required to open substantial areas for new bars, swimming pool and leisure facilities, kitchens to support banqueting facilities for 400, two restaurants a brasserie, and 206 5star bedrooms and en suite facilities, a business centre and a palm court tea room. Subsequently bought by Queens Moat Hotels who we acted for in expert witness capacity. A successful redevelopment.
