Over 30 years in media and management starting out as a 16-year-old cub reporter and building up to Editor and General Manager of a number of titles both magazines and newspapers (once the youngest woman newspaper editor in the country) equipped Julie to go into publishing, training and management consultancy in her own right.

Lucky enough to be involved deeply in installing new electronic publishing technology ... when it really was new! Now progressed into publishing, training and consultancy in new media skills, including website production and website marketing advice.

Involved in DTI Technology Means Business programme as an accredited adviser to help SMEs make best use of IT and new technologies - specialising in developing effective websites ... including this one!.

Other consultancy work includes advising clients on PR and marketing activities in relation to development and launch of new products, services and projects. Extensive media contacts to assist in awareness and promotional campaigns. Design and presentations skills to prepare material for clients or for media use. New media skills - web design, interactive internet sites and presentations using a combination of all media forms. Full research and editorial service.

Consultancy and training services encompass working on the technical installation, industrial relations and management restructuring and training aspects of all media operations as well as being responsible for training (and retraining) at all levels from the Managing Director down. Accredited DTI Adviser in the Government-back 'Technology Means Business' scheme.

Runs OCR-registered NVQ Training and Assessment Centre in London as a qualified NVQ trainer, assessor, internal verifier and APA counsellor and management workshops in the City of London and abroad (as a media trainer and consultant for the Thomson Foundation of Cardiff). Media training in developing countries and emerging democracies including Africa, Albania, Pakistan, Montenegro, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, Syria and Bangladesh (pictured here in Cameroon).
